The May unemployment rate in Bulgaria is 7,08% which is only 0,04% more than in April 2009.

The data belongs to the Bulgarian Employment Agency.

The average monthly unemployment rate so far for 2009 is below 7%. The number of the individuals registered with labor bureaus in the country as unemployed is down due to the seasonal job openings, particularly in the beach resorts, and the special anti-crisis measures of the Cabinet, according to the Agency.

There are 14 044 job openings listed with the labor bureaus and, despite the crisis, the jobs announced by the real economy are 250 more than May, 2008.

Most available jobs are in the manufacturing industry, trade, farming, hotels and restaurants and construction.
