Bulgarian Ataka Activist Accused of Austrian Family Murder

Bulgarian far-right party activist, Tsvetan Rangelov, has been accused of  shooting and killing a husband and wife in the Austrian town of Pachfurth and seriously injuring their daughter.

On Sunday 50-year-old Kristof and his wife Monika were shot dead in Pachfurth (Lower Austria), their daughter Tamara was also seriously injured.

48-year-old Rangelov, who is a political activist for far-right wing party Ataka and recently took part in the EP election campaign in his home town of Chiprovtsi, was alleged to be the killer by Austrian newspaper krone.at.

Rangelov was identified by Tamara and the Bulgarian police. He allegedly escaped from the scene in a white Peugeot 205.

4 Austrian detectives are currently in Bulgaria and have asked for permission to search Rangelov's home. His whereabouts are still unknown.
