Sofia's Mayor and informal leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, and President, Georgi Parvanov, rank first among Bulgaria's political leaders with 46% and 44% respectively.

The data was revealed through a poll conducted by the Center for Analysis and Marketing between May 29 and June 2 among 1 209 respondents.

47% of those polled further believe that if after the Bulgarian parliamentary elections the opposition Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party fails to form their own Cabinet or one in coalition with other right-wing parties it would be better to adjourn the Parliament and hold new elections.

27% support a coalition between GERB and the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP).

As far as the elections for European Parliament (EP), GERB steadily holds the lead with 6 Members of the EP (MEPs) with 25,5% of the vote, followed by BSP and the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) with 4 MEPs, the nationalist "Ataka" with 2 while the right-wing "Blue Coalition" and the National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) of former Tsar and Prime Minister, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, still have chances to win one seat each.

According to the poll, 5 parties will win seats in the Bulgarian Parliament - GERB with 25,5% of the vote, BSP with 16,2%, DPS - 9,4%, Ataka - 6.5% and the "Blue Coalition" - 4,3%. MNSP, the opposition "Order, Law and Justice", "LIDER" and "Forward" would not be able to enter the Parliament.

About 51% will definitively vote at the country's elections on July 5, another 17% say they will most likely show at the voting sections, nearly 9% most likely will not vote while over 20% are certain they would give up their right to cast a ballot.

Over 30% of the respondents say they will vote for the same political party as the 2005 elections while 32% have chosen another political formation.

Along with political questions, the participants were asked if they would go on vacation during the summer with nearly 68% giving a negative answer while only 1,4% plan to vacation between July 1 and 10.
