Lukoil Academic Win Seventh Bulgarian Basketball Title

Lukoil Academic won Wednesday its seventh Bulgarian basketball championship title in a row, thus setting a new record.

In the fourth play-off match in Varna Wednesday night, Lukoil Academic triumphed over the local Evroins Cherno More ("Euroins Black Sea") with 85:76.

Thus, Lukoil won the final play-off with 3-1 victories, and this was the first time since 2003 that the Sofia team did not win the final with 3-0.

Lukoil's two US guards, Willie Deane (Р° native of New York) and Leemire Goldwire (Р° native of Florida), were the MVPs for the team scoring 28 points and 23 points respectively.

Corey McIntosh (Р° native of California) and Atila dos Santos (a native of Brazil, a former player of University of North Iowa) scored 25 points and 19 points respectively for Cherno More.
