Bulgaria Balkanika TV Gets 3,5 Million New Subscribers in Europe

Balkanika MTV is a cable and satellite television showing music from all Balkan states. Starting June 1, 2009, Balkanika will be broadcast by one of the largest cable TV operators in Romania - UPC, thus adding 130 000 more viewers in the country and covering 50% of Romania's cable TV networks.
Starting in June, 100 000 new viewers will be able to watch Balkanika MTV in Slovenia after the channel got included in the PLANET 9 package, reaching 80% of the cable TV household subscribers in the country.
The greatest number of new subscribers, however, comes from Germany where in about a month and half, over three million households have received access to Balkanika TV through their cable TV distribution contracts. Their number is expected to rise with the coming launch of Balkanika in Austria and Switzerland, the Balkanika owner Fan TV Ltd has announced.
In Bulgaria, Balkanika MTV is offered by practically every cable TV operator. In Macedonia and Albania, its coverages is 95%, in Croatia - 75%, in Slovenia - 80%, in Bosnia and Herzegovina - 85%, in Serbia, Montenegro, and Romania - 50%.
