At least two members of the "Order, Law and Justice" (RZS) party will make it to the European Parliament (EP) after the June 7 elections.

This is the belief of the the former rapporteur for Bulgaria and British Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Geoffrey Van Orden.

Van Orden visited Bulgaria over the weekend to support the RZS and its leader, Yane Yanev.

If successful at the EP elections, RZS will join the new EP group of the conservatives and the reformists, which will be led by Van Orden himself.

According to Van Orden, the fight against corruption must be the main goal of a party such as RZS, because corruption in Bulgaria was a "huge and constant problem, influencing all sectors and the life of all Bulgarians, and RZS was the main force that could deal with the issue."

Van Orden further said that the he was continuing his fight to reopen Units 3 and 4 of the Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) "Kozloduy" and the issue was not closed.

The British MEP stated he supported the construction of the Belene NPP, because new energy resources were important, but pointed out it was crucial for Bulgaria to not allow Russia to take over the project.

While in Sofia, Van Orden also met with the Chair of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Nikola Sabotinov and Bulgarian journalists.
