All participants were unanimous that the local Police and the emergency teams reacted swiftly and adequately. Measures to help the families of the victims and for the future care for the injured have been planned. Some of the hospitalized people will be transferred to facilities in Sofia.

The President also paid a visit to the home of police officer, Dimitar Dimitrov, from the village of Chergan, who saved two people by pushing them away from the flying bus while risking his own life.
