The scandal that erupted Tuesday between the independent Member of the Bulgarian Parliament, Georgi Georgiev, and Olimpi Katev from NMSP raged again Wednesday.

Olimpi Katev, from the party of former Tsar and PM, Simeon Saxe-Coburg - the National Movement for Stability and Progress, (NMSP), complained Tuesday that Georgiev had hit him. Georgiev denied the allegations and said he had been upset because Katev repeatedly accused him of coming to work drunk.

Georgiev presented Wednesday a blood test taken Tuesday, showing that he had been sober. The independent MP submitted voluntarily to the test, which showed his alcohol blood level has been at zero, according to Georgiev's own statements.

Georgiev appealed to Katev to follow his example and undergo the test as well, adding he had changed his mind about suing the Tsar's party member.

Katev himself stated he was still considering if he would sue Georgiev or not.

"It is wonderful the test had shown that you have not been drinking yesterday. You should certainly keep up with this practice," Katev told Georgiev.

The NMSP MP explained that Georgiev's aggression had its roots in the fact that he had not submitted his conflict of interest declaration and was facing a steep fine over Katev's revelations about the missing declaration.
