MP Threatens to Reveal Truth about Cherney's Bulgaria Funds

Bulgarian MP Dimitar Abadzhiev has stated that he is ready to tell the truth about the money of Russian businessman Michael Cherney.

In an interview for Bulgarian daily newspaper Trud, Abadzhiev, an MP for the conservative Order, Law and Justice Party, said that he will reveal all about Cherney's money after this summer's general elections.

He added that he will do so in front of former PM and Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) leader, Ivan Kostov. "I want to see his [Kostov's] eyes at that moment" Abadzhiev added.

Kostov has always denied that Cherney supported and funded his "Democracy" foundation.

Russian-born Israeli citizen Michael Chernoy was banned from entering Bulgaria in 2000. He is a highly contradictory figure, who at a certain period of time partnered the murdered banker, Emil Kyulev, and has been presented both as a billionaire and Russian oligarch in the media.
