The main entrance of the "Geo Milev" English-language high school in the Danube city of Ruse turned out to be walled up Friday morning.

The first teachers and students who arrived in the morning were unpleasantly surprised by a wall of Ytong bricks blocking the main entrance of the school.

The school faculty called the police, who quickly captured the perpetrators - high school seniors graduating the same day.

Bulgarian high school seniors usually graduate on May 24, the Day of the Slavic Script and Bulgarian Culture, but since this year May 24 is on Sunday, the graduation ceremonies were held on Friday, May 22, in most schools around the country.

The incident is especially unpleasant for the faculty of the high school, which is supposed to be one of the most prestigious high schools in the city and in the region, as the campaign to recruit new applicants is just starting.

The faculty has not released the names of the high school seniors who have turned out to have not just foreign language skills but also construction skills, and have not said if they would be punished in any way for walling up the school door.
