Kosovo Ready to Give US Vice-President Biden "Perfect Welcome"

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has described US Vice-President Joe Biden's coming visit to the republic as "historic".

After visiting Sarajevo and Belgrade, on Thursday Biden is heading for Kosovo's capital Prishtina.

"This is a historic visit. We will welcome him in order to express our respect for the USA and the American people", Thaci has said as quoted by BGNES.

The Kosovo Prime Minister made it clear that the citizens of the newly independent republic had all rights to participate in the throwing of a perfect welcome for Biden.

Large banners with Joe Biden's image have already been put up all over Prishtina. Biden has been a proponent of Kosovo's independence after it was declared on February 17, 2008.
