Microsoft Marks 10th Anniversary in Bulgaria

The software giant Microsoft marked its 10th anniversary of being officially on the Bulgarian Market.

The company's first official representative office opened back in 1999. At that time, Microsoft had only seven certified partners.

Currently, the software giant has over 800 certified partners, Regional Director, Ognyan Kiryakov, explained.

In Bulgaria there are over 4 000 certified specialists who are capable of dealing with the company's technologies, six technical training centers, eight test centers, and six centers for training and certification of Microsoft PC products.

In Kiryakov's words, since the company opened its office in Bulgaria it has always invested in educational projects. Through Microsoft's Partners in Learning program, more than USD 1 M have been invested only for the period 2003-2009.
