Sofia Mayor and GERB leader Boyko Borisov has broken his leg while playing a sport on Thursday.

The news was announced Thursday night by the GERB Member of the European Parliament Rumyana Jeleva, as cited by BGNES.

Because of breaking his leg, Borisov missed a meeting with the former French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing, who is in Bulgaria for the second time since his first visit in 2008.

Jeleva has not announced any other details about Boyko Borisov's condition and how exactly he broke his leg.
