The Supreme Administrative Court dismissed Wednesday the case against the "Blue Coalition" filed by former UDF member, Nikolay Gatsev.

The magistrates stated as motive their conviction that Gatsev has no legal interest to appeal the registration of the Blue Coalition by Bulgaria's Central Election Commission (CEC).

The Supreme Court explains that Gatsev, whose membership in the Union of Democratic forces (UDF) party has been suspended, is not a person, who can appeal CEC decisions because the decision will not have negative legal consequences for him since he is not a representative of a party or a coalition or an independent candidate.

In his claim, submitted to the Court, Gatsev insists that the Blue Coalition signatures were illegally collected and the Coalition must be stopped from participating in the European parliamentary elections.

Gatsev says that when collecting signatures the coalition had not listed the names of the individual parties included in it, and those names were only added after the signatures have been a done deal.

Gatsev further claims that the UDF leader, Martin Dimitrov, purposely misled the voters that UDF was part of the Blue Coalition and demands that Dimitrov is prosecuted for that.

Gatsev is one of the people, whose claims led Sofia City Court to freeze the case of the UDF new leadership registration.

The Supreme Court decision is final and cannot be appealed.
