A company from Slovakia is planning to invest EUR 600 M in Bulgaria, in the production of equipment for the preparation and transportation of blood plasma.

The news was announced Thursday by Bulgaria's Deputy Economy Minister Yavor Kuyumdzhiev, who said Bulgaria had been picked by the Slovak investor from among a total of four states.

Kuyumdzhiev explained the Slovak greenfield investment included the construction of four plants located at a distance of at least 150 km from one another.

In his words, such industry existed in only three countries in the world, and Bulgaria would be the fourth one.

Representatives of the Slovak investor are expected to arrive in Bulgaria next week. The name of the Slovak company has not been released.
