The outbreak of swine flu, with Mexico as epicenter, is already in decline, according to the Mexican Health Minister, Jose Angel Cordova.

Cordova, cited by BBC, said the virus, blamed for at least 19 deaths in Mexico, appeared to have peaked between 23-28 April.

"The evolution of the epidemic is now in its declining phase," the Health Minister stated at a news conference.

The World Health Organization officials warned the authorities should remain vigilant as the virus could return.
