Bulgaria Alleged Double Murderer Accused of Homicide

24-year-old Bulgarian, Iliyan Todorov, who was arrested for the double murder of Vasil Alexandrov and Kiril Vazharov, is accused of homicide by hooligan motive.

That was announced Tuesday by Sofia's city Prosecutor, Nikolay Kokinov, Darik Radio reported.

Todorov has not testified in front of the prosecutor's office yet, and has not cooperated, officials said. Police is still convinced the he acted on his own, without accomplice.

The Bulgarian Interior ministry reported that the man has no criminal record. The man was caught after the police studied security camera recordings from the crime scene, officials said.

21-year-old Vasil Naskov Alexandrov, and 24-year-old Kiril Vazharov were killed in front of "Solo" club in downtown Sofia around 4 a.m. Saturday. Both men were stabbed in the back.

Vazharov was a goal keeper for Bulgaria's national ice hockey team. A third boy was wounded in the fight.
