The former leader of the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) has demanded that former Bulgarian PM Ivan Kostov leaves the political scene.

Planmen Yurukov insists that politicians, who have taken high government positions like Ivan Kostov, former rightist president, Petar Stoyanov, and former rightist minister Evgeni Bakardziev, should leave active politics.

"I will not register a joint election list of UDF and Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) if Kostov takes part in it", Yurukov said in an interview for 24 Chasa Daily (24 Hours).

Ivan Kostov is leader of DSB, and together with UDF they signed a coalition contract in March.

The new leadership of the biggest right-wing party in Bulgaria, the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF), was refused Monday court registration. Currently, the person who is enforced to represent the party is Plamen Yurukov.

"I doubt that a coalition between UDF and DSB will get even 4%, not talking about 8%, at this year's elections", Yurukov added.
