Krasimir Avramov, Bulgaria's representative at the upcoming 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, will be appearing at the UKeurovision Preview Party at Scala, London on Friday 17th April.

He is the latest artist to be added to the line-up alongside Christina Metaxa from Cyprus, Lidia from Poland, Elena from Romania and Yohanna from Iceland, esctoday.com reported.

The UKeurovision Preview Party made history last year, becoming the first fan organised multi-promotion event for Eurovision Song Contest artists. The second annual event takes place in a little over two weeks and tickets are selling fast.

Avramov becomes the first Bulgarian Eurovision Song Contest representative to perform their song in London on their way to the comepetition. His song, Illusion, will be performed 11th in the first semi final on Tuesday 12th May. Krasimir aims to take Bulgaria to the Eurovision Song Contest final for the second time in the country's history.

Since Avramov and "Illusion" were selected at the end of February to represent Bulgaria at the "Eurovision 2009" finals, he has been the subject of harsh criticism on the part of fellow Bulgarian musicians, who accused him of singing out of tune, and demanded that he gives up his Moscow bid.

In the aftermath of the scandal, the show organizers, the Bulgarian National Television, (BNT), assembled a team of specialists to work on improving Avramov's singing and revise the music to make it easier to be performed.
