US Embassy in Sofia Launches New Web Site

Beginning Thursday, the US Embassy in Sofia runs a new, redesigned web-site aiming at improving communications between the Embassy and the Bulgarian public. Photo by Sofia Photo Agency.

The US Embassy in Sofia is announced Thursday the launch of its new redesigned web site.

The US Embassy web site runs in both the English and Bulgarian languages. The Bulgarian language site is located at: http://bulgarian.bulgaria.usembassy.gov. This version can also be accessed though the English site, http://sofia.usembassy.gov, and vice versa.

The new web site offers regularly updated news from the Embassy, statements by the Ambassador, the monthly newsletter, pictures and articles about Embassy sponsored events, and plenty of information about the United States of America, US policy, visa services, and the Embassy itself.

Some of the most exciting new features are the link to the US Embassy's You Tube section and the archive of the web chats with US Embassy officials.

The new web site is designed to significantly improve communications between the Embassy and the Bulgarian public by providing users the opportunity to submit queries, comments, ideas, and other feedback.

In the Multimedia Archive, users can find interviews of the Ambassador as well as audio and video information covering a wide variety of Embassy activities.
