US Vice President Biden Embarrassed by Daughter's Cocaine Use

The White House has been shaken Monday by allegations that the daughter of Vice-President, Joseph Biden, is a cocaine user.

The news was reported by the UK based newspaper 'The Times'.

An amateur video has been distributed on the internet, allegedly showing the 27-year-old Ashley Biden, snorting lines of white powder at a house party in her home state of Delaware.

The video is a huge embarrassment for Biden, who is known as a staunch anti-drug crusader. In 1982 Biden received the alias "Drug Tzar" for his ardent campaign for tougher action against illegal drugs.

The 43-minute video was initially offered for sale for UDS 2 M, but the seller, reportedly a male acquittance of Ashley Biden, later reduced the price to USD 400 000.

Political experts, however, believe that the video is unlikely to have a negative effect on Biden's relations with President Obama and on the White House administration's image. Obama admitted in his own memoir that he had used marijuana and cocaine as a youth.
