BGN 2 M Cocaine Haul Seized at Bulgaria Border

2,5 kilos of cocaine has been discovered by customs officers at the Gyueshevo border crossing between Bulgaria and Macedonia.

The haul was found in the private luggage of a passenger traveling on a minibus from Sofia to Skopje.

In a bag of clothes 4 packets of cocaine were discovered with an estimated street value of BGN 2 M.

The luggage belonged to a 32-year-old Uruguayan national, who has been taken away by police for questioning.

This was the first drugs find at the Gyueshevo border crossing so far this year, Darik Radio reported Thursday.
