Two actors from Bulgaria's National Theater have been badly injured during rehearsal Tuesday.

The incident occurred when the sets on the stage of the National "Ivan Vazov" Theater in downtown Sofia collapsed on top of actors Carla Rahal and Yulyan Rachkov.

Rahal has been taken by ambulance to the Sofia Institute for Emergency Medicine "Pirogov" with complaints of spine pains. Rachkov is also listed in "Pirogov" with a broken left armpit.

The sets collapsed during a rehearsal for the play "A Servant of Two Masters" by Carlo Goldoni.

The opening night, largely anticipated by Bulgaria's theatrical audience, was scheduled for Wednesday, March 25.
