Deputy Minister Confirms BGN 2 B to Fight Bulgaria Financial Crisis

Dimcho Mihalevski, Bulgaria's Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works has announced that the Bulgarian cabinet has made BGN 2 B available to public programs and small to medium sized businesses, in an attempt to fight the global financial crisis.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Bulgarian Building Week at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia, where 230 construction companies from 22 countries are exhibiting their products, Mihalevski stated; "Bulgaria's cabinet has launched a mechanism for fighting the consequences of the world financial crisis."

Mihalevski added that "The Fund for Local Authorities and Governments is offering credits for public programs and the Bulgarian Development Bank is funding small and medium enterprises."

BGN 2 B have been made available by the Bulgarian government under Operative Programs, the Bulgarian daily newspaper Standart reported.

"Our doors are always open for the construction business and its problems, because we can solve them together," Mihalevski concluded.
