For a Year Inflation in Bulgaria Accelerated to 3.2% in February

Consumer prices rose by 0.5% in February compared with the previous month and by 3.2% in the same month of 2018, the National Statistical Institute reported.

Inflation rose three months in a row after falling in October and November. In December annual inflation was 2.7% and in January it was 3%. For month, food and non-alcoholic beverages appreciated by 1.7%, transport services by 1.2%. Last month, clothing and footwear fell by 2.1%, communications by 0.9%, cultural events and entertainment - by 1%. Current spending has remained at its January level.

Of the food, the most important were the whole milk and low-fat milk - 3.3% and 3.0%, oil - 2%, tea - 1.7%, beer - by 1.4%. Significant changes occur in some fruits and vegetables due to their seasonal character - tomatoes increase by 6.4%, cucumbers - by 18.1%, cabbage - by 35.0%, mature onion - by 4.6%, potatoes - by 7.6%.

Non-food commodities make fuel more expensive - the price of diesel fuel is up 3.0%, A95H gasoline - 3.5%, A98H - 2.3%, propane-butane - 3.7%. Airline ticket prices went down by 11.7%, travel packages - by 2.7%, desktop PCs - by 2.7%.
