Seven percent more fuel revenues. With this finding, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov opened today's government meeting. "So, the measures act works," Borisov said.
He informs that he returns from his regular weekly meeting with representatives of the Interior Ministry, the Prosecutor's Office, the National Revenue Agency and the Customs, where the results of the fight against smuggling are taken into account every Wednesday.
Since the beginning of the year, under the leadership of the Interagency Coordination Center for Counteracting CCBOP Smuggling, officials of the Interior Ministry, the National Revenue Agency (NRA), the State Agency for Metrology and Technical Supervision and the Customs Agency have strengthened control over imports, warehousing and the subsequent distribution of fuels.
The state has introduced a new fuel monitoring system with 24-hour video surveillance of all processes and keeping the information on servers in order to be able to check the fuel flow if desired. In practice, with the introduction of the new system, it is possible to bring together the common information resource, a precise risk analysis to assist the institutions and to carry out mutual control.
