61% of European citizens are afraid of cyber-attacks in connection with the European elections. This was announced by the Bulgarian Commissioner Maria Gabriel in the framework of the conference "Cybersecurity in the European Union".

She also pointed out what Europe takes preventative actions against cyber-attacks.


Mariya Gabriel - Commissioner for Digital Economy and Digital Society: In April, we will be doing a simulation exercise alongside the Cyber ​​Security Coordination Group so we can see a month before the elections  how we manage to exchange in real time information and are we prepared enough for such attacks. By the end of this month, we will have a new tool, an early warning system.
