Three Bulgarians were killed after a freight train hit their car at a railway crossing in Spain. They have worked temporarily in the country, reported Spanish media El Pais, quoted by Nova TV.

The car was passing through a barrier-free crossing. There was a traffic light that worked according to the words of the mayor of the town of Fontanar, where the incident happened.

There are many seasonal workers in this city who are involved in the collection of asparagus. The incident has taken place in the field and it is supposed that the Bulgarians were on their way to work before the severe accident happened.

Their car was with Sofia registration. The local authorities offer condolences to the relatives of the Bulgarians who died.
