Over BGN 40 Million will be Provided for Traffic Barriers in Bulgaria for the next Four Years

Road Infrastructure Agency announced a public procurement of more than BGN 40 mln for the supply and installation of restraint systems - handrails, railings, buffers and other elements for the next four years, reports mediapool.

The public procurement is divided into 6 lots for the respective regions of the country - North-West, North-Central, North-East, South-East, South-Central, South-West. For each of them, BGN 6.7 million excluding VAT is allocated.

Funding is provided by the travel agency's budget and no external funding will be available. It is possible that the whole budget will not be absorbed because it will be assigned to the needs. Candidates may submit tenders for a maximum of two lots. The deadline for the auction is 17:30 on 14 June 2018. The public opening of the offers is scheduled for the next day.

The requirements for participants over the last 5 years have been to perform activities identical or similar to the subject and volume of the contract related to the delivery and installation of restraint systems with a total length of at least 15 km on national roads or those outside the country that have similar characteristics. Another condition is that candidates have a quality management system certified according to BDS EN ISO 9001: 2015 or equivalent.
