Indonesian police shot a man of Bulgarian nationality allegedly involved in ATM theft schemes, reported local newspaper The Jakarta Post quoted by FOCUS News Agency as saying. The incident happened two weeks after the arrest of two other Bulgarians, along with one Chilean and one Taiwanese citizen in connection with a series of ATM cases.

Local police spokesman Argo Yuvono said the suspect had resisted arrest by trying to attack police officers with a weapon.
During the operation, the law enforcement authorities also seized 940 card clones, three laptops, two encryption devices, nine surveillance cameras, drained cards, and others.

The suspect was assisted by two other people who are still at large. One of them, a Bulgarian citizen, supplied the suspect with equipment and maps, writes The Jakarta Post.
