"Recent European studies show that around 44% or about 169 million EU citizens can not be classified as digitally competent, and I think that this percentage is higher in Bulgaria." This is what Svetlana Lomeva, executive director of the Association for Development of Sofia, said in the show "Before All" to Horizon.

She is among the participants in the two-day 19th National eGovernment Conference, which started today in Sofia, with an emphasis on "Municipalities of the Future and the Difficult Path of Digital Services".

The municipalities are closest to the people and provide a great deal of services to citizens, and these services must be electronized in order to actually talk about "the municipalities of the future," Lomeva explained.
