Turkey has stated to senior employees of the US administration that it has not received sufficient support in its fight against Islamic State in the last month and a half and it expects full support for driving out the jihadists out of the Syrian city of al-Bab, said the spokesperson of the Turkish President Recep Erdogan, cited by Reuters.

Ibrahim Kalin stated to Channel 24 that he has the impression that the newly-elect president of the USA Donald Trump will take more seriously topics sensitive to Turkey.

Turkey started its invasion of Syria in August in order to push off Islamic State from its borders and prevent fighters from the Kurdish militias take over territory.
