Bulgarian Union of Banat Leader Nikolai Mirkovic Passes Away

“It is with profound sorrow that I announce that the leader of the Bulgarian Union of Banat and the most prominent figure in contemporary Bulgarian life in Romania General Nikolai Mirkovic passed away on Saturday night,” said Professor Plamen Pavlov from the Veliko Tarnovo University.

General Mircovic served two mandates as deputy in the Romanian Parliament. He was also Secretary of the Lower Chamber of Deputies, added Pavlov.
