EU Expresses Sympathy with Turkey over Gaziantep Bombing

The European Union has expressed its condolences to to the families and friends of those killed in a suicide bombing in the Turkish city of Gaziantep and wished a speedy recovery to all injured. 

Saturday's blast that targeted a wedding party in southeast Turkey killed 51 people and left 69 others injured, including 17 critically, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.

“As European Union, we express our solidarity and sympathy with the government and people of Gaziantep and of all Turkey. And we will continue to strengthen our cooperation with the Turkish authorities to prevent and counter terrorism,” foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and Commissioner Johannes Hahn said in a joint statement on Sunday.
