Bulgaria's athlete Nevyana Vladinova gave an excellent performance at her first ever participation in Olympic games.

She managed to secure the 7th position out of 10 world-class gymnasts. She was standing strong on the 5th spot after a number of her competitors made mistakes in the first three routines, but several mistakes in her ribbon performance landed her on the seventh position.

She left behind the Spanish "veteran" Carolina Rodriguez, the young hopeful Marina Durunda of Azerbaijan and Ksenia Mustafayeva, competing for team France.

Je Yon Son of South Korea just missed a medal, landing fourth, and the two athletes from Belarus - Melitina Staniouta and Ekaterina Khalkina took respectively the fifth and sixth positions.

The winner is Margarita Mamun from Russia, who performed all her routines without any visible mistakes. Yana Kudryavtseva from Russia, who many believed would be the Olympic champion, made several big mistakes in her clubs routine, thus landing second.

Ganna Rizatdinova of Ukraine holds the third position and will be bringing home the bronze medal.
