Bulgaria's Beroe Wins, Litex Draws in First Qualifying Round of Europa League

Beroe and Litex were the two football teams representing Bulgaria in the first leg of the first qualifying round of Europa League, which took place on Thursday.

Both Bulgarian teams were visitors in the first leg, Beroe traveling to Lithuania, while Litex visited Latvia.

Beroe achieved an important 2:0 away victory over Atlantas Klaipeda, with goals scored by Spas Delev in the 60th minute and Georgi Bozhilov in the 84th minute.

Litex drew 1:1 with hosts Jelgava, with the Bulgarian side coming in the lead in the 50th minute after a goal by Vasil Bozhikov, before Olegs Malasenoks equalised the score in the 83rd minute.

The second legs will take place on July 9, with the two Baltic teams visiting Stara Zagora and Lovech to face their respective opponents.
