Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov was ousted from the second round of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel tournament in Acapulco on Wednesday.

Dimitrov was defeated by Ryan Harrison from the USA with 5:7, 6:4, 0:6 in a match that lasted one hour 45 minutes, daily Dnevnik reports.

The Bulgarian recovered in the second set, but he made a poor performance in the third set, when he did not record even a game.

The match started equally well for both players, who successively won their service games and kept the score equal until 3:3.

Dimitrov was the first to achieve a break, coming in the lead with 4:3 and sustained it until 5:4.

However Harrison managed to recover, winning the next three games and closed the first set with 7:5.

The second set started well for Dimitrov, who achieved a break and after winning his service game came in the lead with 2:0.

The Bulgarian sustained his lead until the end and closed the second set with 6:4.

The third set was disastrous for Dimitrov, who did not win a game, while Harrison achieved three breaks.

Thus Dimitrov did not manage to defend his title in Acapulco, which he won last year, while the American recorded his first victory against a player from ATP's Top 10.
