Tax Return Campaign Starts in Bulgaria on Monday

As of January 5, Monday, natural persons can submit their tax return forms to Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency, officials have announced.  

The deadline for tax statements and payment is April 30. Declarations can be sent online using an e-signature.

Citizens are now also able to use a Personal Identification Code (PIC) they could receive for free at any office of the revenue agency. Over 150 000 taxpayers have so far been given a PIC.

Unlike previous years, sums owed will not undergo a 5-percent cut if paid by February 10. Instead, the discount will be offered to those who submit their tax return online by March 31.
