There are reports of flooded buildings, the strong winds have knocked down branches and whole trees. There are damages along the beaches and the street pavements, too, Bulgarian Telegraph Agency reports.

The situation in the area of Kara Dere,a nature reserve near Byala, Varna Province is currently the most critical. A total of 8 people have been evacuated from the area, Trendafilov said.

The state of emergency in the municipality is valid until 20 o'clock tonight, but will be extended if the weather deteriorates again.
