Flu Epidemic Continues to Spread Across Bulgaria

Nearly one third of Bulgaria is in a state of flu epidemic, as it continues to spread.

The most recent regions to declare a flu epidemic are Yambol and Varna. In Yambol and the region, the number of infected people has reached 301 in 10,000, while in Varna and the region it is 269 per 10,000.

The average number of people with acute respiratory diseases is 235 per 10,000.

So far, a flu epidemic has been declared in Sofia, Burgas, Ruse, Pleven, Dobrich and Stara Zagora regions.

Many schools remain closed, while visiting patients in hospitals is limited.
