Israel and Saudi Arabia have embarked on negotiations for a joint military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, reports the Sunday Times.

According to the paper, the two countries are irritated at the progress that Iran is making towards reaching a deal regarding its nuclear program with Western countries in ongoing talks in Geneva.

Iran has claimed its nuclear program is completely peaceful and it has the right to develop it, but western countries have requested more evidence for that.

Israel, on its part, has chronically claimed it feels existentially threatened by the Iranian nuclear program.

Israel's Mossad intelligence agency is reportedly working with Saudi officials to make arrangements following the signing of a nuclear deal in Geneva, reports the Sunday Times.

"Once the Geneva agreement is signed, the military option will be back on the table. The Saudis are furious and are willing to give Israel all the help it needs," the Times quoted its source as saying.

Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has called on countries such as the US and France to oppose signing an agreement with Iran.
