Bulgaria Ex-PM Slams Budget Revision

Bulgaria's former Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, has once again strongly criticized the government's decision to revise the state budget for 2013.

Borisov pointed out that Bulgaria is making enough revenues which turns the controversial budget actualization into an utterly unnecessary step needlessly binding the future generations with loan debt payments.

“The budget actualization is absolutely needless. At the moment the revenue agencies are collecting even more then the stipulated revenues.” said Borisov in an official statement at a parliamentary sitting.

“Instead of pulling themselves together to collect revenues and do some work, they are to take the easier way- taking credits to make expenditures, while the interests over these credits and the capital that is to be paid off , remains for the next generations” added Bulgaria's former Prime Minister.

The Bulgarian Parliament is holding a special plenary sitting Friday morning to discuss and vote on Bulgaria President Rosen Plevneliev's veto on a controversial recent budget update.

President Plevneliev has motivated his veto by what he has called the lack of transparency and the excessive amount of discretionary spending in the revision.
