Bulgarian protesters have launched Saturday a long march across the country from capital Sofia to seaside Varna, where a main government summer residence is located.

From Sofia, the march will go through second-largest city Plovdiv, on to Stara Zagora, Burgas on the Black Sea and then north to Varna.

All are invited to join along for the whole 450-km trip or parts of it.

The Euxinograd residence near Varna is a top seaside destination for many Bulgarian MPs and ministers.

Varna protesters have already announced they are making plans to beseige the Euxinograd beach by land and sea.

Friday protests calling for the resignation of the new Bulgarian government entered their 50th consecutive day.

Parliament has entered summer recess until September 4, during which time rallies in Sofia are planned to scale down.
