Bulgaria's deputy PM and deputy chair of ruling GERB party Tsvetan Tsvetanov argued Saturday that GERB is in a very good position for winning a new term in power after summer 2013 elections.

"Public approval for GERB in the third term of our rule is very good, notwitstanding that the party is governing during a time of global economic crisis," said Bulgaria's Minister of Interior while on a visit to Smolyan.

"With a new term and our fiscal program for the 2014-20 period, I am sure that miracles will happen," said Tsvetanov.

In particular, he said that the cabinet, led by PM and GERB leader Boyko Borisov, is already discussing options for raising salaries, which currently is among its top priorities.

Tsvetanov added that the Bulgarian public ought to also understand that funds invested in infrastructure projects will also lead to an increase in people's incomes.

He further said that according to him the general elections, to be scheduled for summer 2013 will see the battle hinge on good organization of party structures.
