Stoyka Petrova, the first Bulgarian female boxer to participate in Olympic Games, started her performance with a victory.

Petrova won 23:11 (5:2, 4:3, 7:4, 7:2) over India-born New Zealand boxer Siona Fernandes in the Women's Flyweight (51kg) category at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Petrova qualifies for the quarterfinals and a next triumph will bring her a medal.

Her next rival is Great Britain's Nicola Adams, the current European Champion at 51kg and a three-time World Championships silver medallist.
