Bulgarian Police Arrest 17 Football Hooligans after Cup Round of 16

17 fans of Bulgaria's Veliko Tarnovo football team Etar were detained by police after they attacked Levski Sofia fans after the end of a Bulgarian Football Cup round of 16 game Saturday.

At the match, first-division Levski defeated second-division Etar, which was hosting the game, 0:3.

After the Levski fans exited the Ivaylo Stadium in Veliko Tarnovo, one of their car was attacked by local hooligans, who broke one of the car windows.

One policeman has suffered minor injuries when the hooligans went on to throw stones at the police unit that tackled them.

17 young persons from Veliko Tarnovo have been detained in the incident. According to police information, they do not belong to the official Etar fan club.
