100 Bulgarians Cast Votes in East Asia

A total of 111 Bulgarian citizens have voted in the presidential elections run-off in the polling stations in Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing, the Foreign Ministry announced.

The Bulgarian Election Day in South Korea, Japan and China ended in 1 pm Eastern European time on Sunday, the day in which Bulgarians are voting in the second round of their presidential and local elections.

A total of 41 Bulgarians voted in Tokyo, 28 in Seoul, and 42 in Beijing, the Foreign Ministry in Sofia announced.

Meanwhile, the Election Day kicked off at 6 am Eastern Time (1 pm Eastern European Time) in the five Bulgarian polling stations in Washington, DC.

As of 12 pm Eastern European Time on Sunday, a total of 6 865 Bulgarians had vote abroad, including 4 480 in Turkey, 88 in France, 318 in Spain, and only 71 in Germany.

A little over 50 000 Bulgarians voted abroad in the first round of the presidential vote a week ago.
