15 Reckless Holidaymakers Saved from Drowning in One Day at Bulgarian Black Sea Resort

A total of 15 foreign tourists have been saved from drowning in one day by lifeguards at Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts St. St. Constantine and Helena and Golden Sands.

According to Dr. Ivan Ivanov, manager of the St. Klementina hospital in Varna, the tourists were highly undisciplined and preferred to ignore the red flag and entering the choppy waters.

The foreign tourists, mainly from Germany and Scandinavia, went into the water after drinking alcohol.

One of the reckless swimmers got a dislocated shoulder.

Lifeguards also rescued four teenagers aged 12 to 15 who were on a summer holiday camp in Golden Sands and had gone to the beach unsupervised.

Two Russians, a father and a son, were saved from drowning at the St. St. Constantine and Helena resort after deciding to go into the water with inflatable swim rings despite the red flag.
