Brit Hits Europe's Largest Ever Lottery Jackpot

A British winner has snatched the record-breaking EuroMillions jackpot of EUR 185 M, or GBP 161 M.

A single ticket holder in Britain last night won Europe's largest lottery jackpot to date. It is unknown if the lucky winner - who correctly predicted all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars in the draw - is an individual or a syndicate.

The immense pay-out places the EuroMillions winner at 418th place in the UK rich list, the Daily Mail reported, making them almost as rich as David and Victoria Beckham, whose combined fortune is GBP 165 M.

The latest win has broken the EUR 113 M lottery jackpot won in October 2010.
