Young Russian Woman Drowns in Bulgaria's Golden Sands Resort

A 20-year-old Russian woman has drowned near the northern Bulgarian Black Sea resort Golden Sands.

The young woman disappeared as she went for an underwater diving swim. Her brother alerted the lifeguards in the afternoon that she had been missing for three hours.

The woman's body was found on the bottom of the sea not far from the coast when she had already been dead for hours.

"Because she was swimming underwater, nobody was able to see that she was in trouble and to try to help her," explained Dr. Ivan Ivanov, manager of the St. Klementina hospital in Varna, as cited by Focus.
